After the Melton road project, we went back in time to remember when we went to Birmingham to take pictures of the graffiti , buildings and beautiful surroundings. I created a Photoshop piece of Leicester and Birmingham combined as a whole to create a different perspective to everyone else and let them see how we see it. we used many different pictures to create the image and many different tools which took a lot of time to complete. I also learnt new ways of improving my work and making it unique in my own way of imagination.
this contact sheet shows all the pictures were taken when I went to Birmingham as a trip to take pictures of the buildings and graffiti , etc. The graffiti was incredibly well drawn and they were also very inspiring to people who like graffiti and unusual designs. the colours used on the graffiti were vibrant and the drawing look very realistic as they were drawn in 3d rather than just flat (2d). the stars show my favourite pictures taken by me and my partner and the red stop signs show which ones I don't really like as much but the smiley faces show they are nice but not my complete favourite photos taken. I would change the angles of how I took the pictures and what I took pictures of such as different buildings that are quite unusual and more graffiti that's not what you would normally see, I would have also want to change the amount of pictures taken so I could take more and use them in my Photoshop piece too.
This is my combination of Birmingham and Leicester. I know it doesn't look like much but this piece of work to 7-8 hours just to complete. I believe I could've added more to my work but I also believe it is perfect just the way it is. As you can see the buildings are many different colours but that is the power of photo shop making my work stand out and different to Birmingham and Leicester being separate. I used many different tools to make this such as distort, outer glow , quick select , transformation, colour balance and a lot of rubbing out of tiny details. The graffiti on the buildings was to show that not all buildings look boring and the tools used were distort and perspective to make it look as if it is actually made with the building or painted on the building. The pictures in the slideshow are the ones that I used to create my Photoshop piece on the left but to achieve this Photoshop piece I received help from my friend. ( www.alpacamacarataphotographygcse.weebly.com) with the outer glow.
